The Sadie Ray Graff Educators and Educational Institution Award is one of twelve categories in the Keep Texas Beautiful Youth Awards and recognizes the efforts of educators and educational institutions to encourage youth involvement and promote the mission of both Keep Texas Beautiful and Angelina Beautiful/Clean through environmental education.
Each year, Keep Texas Beautiful acknowledges deserving young people, youth organizations, educators and educational institutions who encourage youth involvement and action through environmental education.
With a combined 80 years in the education field Ms. Holcomb, Ms. Anthony and Ms. Bryan teach their students the importance of making a difference in the community. This program is only successful because of the consistency of Ms. Holcomb, Ms. Anthony and Ms. Bryan. The Lufkin High School V.E.T. students are influenced on a daily basis by the leadership and encouragement they are shown.
Award winners will be recognized during the 42nd Annual Keep Texas Beautiful Conference, June 8-11, 2009, in Houston.
