The Don’t Mess with Texas Trash-Off will once again be the premiere event of the annual Great American Cleanup sponsored by Angelina Beautiful/Clean. You have the opportunity to join thousands of Texans and Millions of Americans in this great event.
Please help us “Keep Angelina County Beautiful” by participating. The cleanup will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, April 24th. Adopt-A-Highway and Adopt-A-Street groups will meet at their regular pick-up sites and a crew leader will meet you at your location. Adopt-A-Highway groups must obtain cleanup up supplies from the Texas Department of Transportation. All other participants will be contacted by Angelina Beautiful/Clean and will be given an assigned location based upon needs of the county and group participating.
Following the cleanup all volunteers are invited to enjoy refreshments provided by Angelina Beautiful/Clean and Brookshire Brothers at the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce. NOTICE: $300 in prize money will be awarded in each community based on the number of active participants in your group. The top three active groups/organizations will win prize money! If there is a tie, the prize money will be split.
SAFETY FIRST!!!
Each volunteer MUST wear gloves in order to be counted
as a “participating volunteer”. Please BRING gloves!
We need every group to fill out the enclosed registration form so we can get an accurate count for our records. To be eligible for the prize money, the registration form must be in the AB/C office before 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 13th.
**You must include your group leader’s name and phone number on the registration sheet in order to be notified of your group’s designated check in point.
